Small Asda Haul ;)

So Friday night i went for a meal at the Harvester with my mum brother and my mums boyfriend. My brother is going on holiday to Rhodes, Faliraki on Wednesday (my jealousy doesn’t cut it) so we went to asda to get him a few more bit, and me being me i couldn’t leave without having to have picked something up for myself!
So i picked up so batiste blush dry shampoo. I have read lots of reviews on this and people say its a must have, so i asked myself why haven’t i tried this before? Well i agree it is a must have but i hate the smell! It smells horrible! But for in between washes it will do!

I then noticed some eye catching nail varnishes  that just looked so summery therefore i couldn’t leave them. I came away with a pale bright pink, a deep red, a lush teal colour and a pale lilac/purple and at £1.75 i could afford 4! Some people might slate them saying for that price they will be horrible quality, i can assure you they are fine. They look like any other with two coats.

Have any of you tried these products? If so whats your opinion?

Helen E Lipgloss

The other evening i received an email to say they were giving away free lipglosses (RRP £9.99) you just had to pay the postage. And i thought how could i resit this offer! I looked on the site and wanted a nude/light pink lip gloss and i discovered shade 8. So i thought i had to try it with it only costing me £1.99! And i got it in the post this morning :)

Its like a shimmery light pink colour, not sure if its exactly my colour but ill give it a chance!
have any of you used Helen E?

Airbrushed make-up ads banned for 'misleading’

If you’ve watched the news today you would know that cosmetic adverts featuring airbrushed images of actress Julia Roberts and model Christy Turlington have been banned by the advertising watchdog. L'Oreal admitted retouching but denied that the two adverts were misleading.

As this was beauty related i thought it would be interesting to hear what you think aswell as mine. I believe you will never get a makeup advertisement that hasn't been airbrushed to some extent. I also think you will never see a mascara advert where the model doesn’t wear ‘last inserts.’ This drives me crazzzzzzy! If the mascara/foundation is so good why do they need to use these things? Its so misleading, and that's why i have so many products because you have to buy them to see what they are really like. Its giving beauty a false image.

Dying to know whether you all think the same as me? Please comment and let me know!

Outfit, Primark, Sainsburys haul!

Today my mum took me shopping in Coventry as she needed to return something from primarni. I then dragged her to central six (some shops in a different area of coventry) and then finally on the way home we went to sainsburys as i wanted to get a few bits. So here is what i got..
So i bought all of the above from Outift, and they were all in the sale! Was very chuffed as i have little money to spend!
Freedom Ring – £1.50
Freedom Ring - £1.50
Miss Selfridge Beige like Shorts - £10
Miss Selfridge Black Shorts - £12
I managed to pick up these lovely items from Primark! Not a shop im a fan of but they are so cheap and i do love a good bargain!
Primark Floral Print Skirt - £5
Primark Black Dress - £5
I did also buy some flip flops but forgot to take a picture, they were also a sale item for a bargain £1!  And i bought some more dresses but they were too small :(
My last buys of the day are the above. If you read my last post you would be aware i was in need of a new facial exfoliator. So when i came across this new Clean & Clear range i thought i would try the exfoliator as Sainsburys didn’t stock my normal one. I haven’t used this product yet but it smells divine, it contains lemongrass and fruit extracts and it is oil free. I also picked up the shine control daily facial lotion as both products were on a introduction offer at £2.50 each. Bargain! The lotion smells the same as the exfoliator and also is oil free. It removes oil for a shine free day. I don’t get that shine but when its hot i do so i thought i would try these products out for summer :) i then picked up my usual razor blades.
Have you tried any of these products? If so let me know what you think about them!
If you want a review of the Clean & Clear products let me know!

Skin Care! With Short Reviews.

So today i thought i would show you my skin care regime. As being a Beauty Therapist i know its very important to look after your skin well. A basic skin care regime should consist of a cleanser, toner and moisturiser suitable for your skin type. So here's mine..

I use Garnier Skin Naturals 2 in 1 Make Up Remover. It contains plant extract and pro-vitamin B5, with neither perfume or alcohol. I love this product does exactly what its meant to do, it doesn’t feel too oily on my skin either. And its a bonus that it even removes waterproof make up.
After taking my make up off i then use my Nivea Visage Daily Essentials Gentle Cleansing Lotion for dry & sensitive skin just to take off any traces of make up my make up remover didn't get, This cleanser ‘gently cleanses & removes make-up for a soft skin feeling.’ And that  is indeed what it does. It also contains Natural Almond Oil & Calendula Extract. Has a pleasant smell but i don't feel it benefits my skin, only takes make up off, I'm thinking about changing my cleanser to a Garnier one!
I then move onto my Nivea Visage Daily Essentials Refreshing Toner for normal & combination skin. I prefer this to my cleanser out of the two as it leaves my skin feeling soft as well as fresh and removes final traces of make up whilst helping close my pores. This product contains vitamins & natural lotus extract.
Finally i use my Nivea Visage Daily Essentials Light Moisturising Day Cream for normal & combination skin. This product ‘moisturises & protects for a fresh skin feeling'.’ This product contains the same as the toner, vitamins & natural lotus extract as well as containing an SPF 15. Again this product has a pleasant smell but i don't feel it benefits my skin, only takes make up off, I'm thinking about changing my cleanser to a Garnier one!

Moving onto my products i used, but don’t use everyday…

Starting with Sanctuary 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask. I highly recommend this products, its one of the best products i have in my skin care collection. It is a ‘warming charcoal treatment for perfectly clean and purified skin.’ And that's exactly what it is, its a charcoal coloured mask and when you apply it to your face it immediately heats up. This mask gives a deep cleanse and is great for getting rid of blemishes. However it is a bit pricey at £10.20 but i would spend that much to use it again!
Next i have my Vitamin E Moisture Cream from The Body Shop. I use this moisturiser when my skin is feeling a little dry. Its a ‘daily antioxidant protection and moisturisation.’ It hydrates my skin nicely leaving it soft after I've used it, its a nice pale pink colour with a nice smell.
Nivea Visage Young Clean Deeper is my facial exfoliator, i use this about 4 times a week as it isn't harsh on the skin at all. It ‘helps prevent spots& blackheads for refined skin with pore cleansing power beads.’ Unfortunately there is only a little bit left in the bottle for you to see as I'm running out, but going to the shops to purchase some more of this tomorrow! I love it, it leaves my skin nice and refreshed after i get out of the shower ready for me to put some moisturiser on!
Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash from The Body Shop again is a new product i picked up. Its for oily and combination skin and its a ‘refreshing gel, removes impurities, make up and excess oil.’ With this product having seaweed in i thought the smell would be unbearable but actually its quite a nice refreshing smell,  very pleasant. However the times i have used this product i found myself waking up with some spots on my face so i tent to steer away from using this product.
Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash is a newer product I've recently picked up. After only using it a few times i really like it. It ‘helps eliminate spots and blackheads with a clean free feel.’ The grapefruit smell is lovely and the pink colour attracted me to the product even more. It leaves my skin feeling soft and fresh, but I'm yet to notice whether it helps eliminate spots and blackheads as i haven't used it enough yet!
Finally is my Vitamin E Facial Oil from The Body Shop. Its for dry skin, which i occasionally get so i thought i would try this product. It ‘moisturises, comforts and helps protect dry skin.’ After using it i have realised i really don't like the smell of this product, but as for the product itself i like the way it goes onto the skin soaks in nicely helping dry skin re-moisturise. Overall a handy product if you have bad dry skin.

Sorry for the long post but worth the read girls. If any of you have tried these products comment below and tell me what you think of them! :)

TAG: Whats In My Makeup Bag!

I have seen lots of videos on youtube of ‘tag what's in my bag’ but haven't yet seen any on anyone's blog. So i thought i’d do a post of what's in my make up bag! So ill quit talking and get on and show you what's i have in my makeup bag..
DSC02079
First up i have my Volume Million Lashes by L’Oreal! I highly recommend this mascara, the brush defines every lash leaving them clump free, longer and darker. A day doesn’t go by when i don’t wear this mascara. Although it is a bit pricey at £11.29 but i’d say its worth it! DSC02083
I also carry my MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NC15. Not a lot i can say about this, it does what it says. Covers my blemishes well, hides dark circles. You can buy it here for £13.50.
DSC02074
My recent big makeup spend was my foundation. After reading high reviews i went to buy Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation in Bone. At £26.50 i hoped this foundation lived up to the standards of staying in place and it does. For me this foundation stays in place the whole day! And that's something i want in a foundation, it also gives me full coverage whilst allowing my skin to breathe. The only downfall for me is i had foundations that don’t have a pump, and this one doesn’t but my MAC pump fits on so i tent to use that. Another product i highly recommend.
DSC02078
This is my black Astor  Colour Proof Automatic Eyeliner. I use this on my waterline to define my eyes even more. Great product stays in place all day! Here's a tip if you put your eyeliner under a hot hairdryer for a couple of seconds it should go softer, therefore it will set harder on your eyes meaning it will stay on for longer. Let me know if you try this and how it works for you!
DSC02091
These are my two Bourjois Ombre Stretch eye shadows that i wear every day, in the colours 09 Brun Nylon and 04 Flexi Brown. I wear 09 over the whole lid and i wear 04 on the outer corner, These are the only eye shadows i’ve found that don’t crease in any way and what stay put throughout the day. They come in this cute packaging that has a compact mirror in and also comes with a mini brush you can apply the eye shadow with. You can buy them separately for £6.49.
DSC02100
This is my Bourjois Paris Ultra Black Clubbing Liner. I can’t go a day without wearing liquid eyeliner and it took me a long time to find this one. Its perfect for me! It has a thin liner brush for getting a thin precision line that can be thickened to your likeness. The liner doesn’t crack if you wear it all day nor smudge. You can buy this for £5.99 although i bought mine at the Clothes Show 2010 at a much cheaper price.
DSC02088
This is the final product in my makeup bag and its the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder in Medium. This MAC product was one of the first i bought last November! I honestly can’t believe its lasted this long and obviously still has many more months to be had out of it. This powder locks my foundation on even more lasting all day. This powder doesn’t give me any shine and gives a nice natural look. You can buy this product here for £18.50 which is a bargain considering its lasted me 9 months!!
This post is a long one but i hope you all enjoy it. Please comment telling me what's in your makeup bags! And if you have any of the products that i have! :)xxx

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream Review

Evening Dolls, on Wednesday i popped into a local Tesco’s whilst i was going to the cinema. I noticed my hand were extremely dry! I have previously tried so many hand creams but none have had the results I've wanted. So i went to the hand cream section to see if they had any that looked like they would work for me. I picked up the Norwegian Formula hand cream and having previously see adverts for this product i thought it must be worth the buy. at £3.59 i didn't have much to lose either.
Neutrogena Hand Cream
This concentrated hand cream claims immediate and lasting relief for even the most dry hands. Just a dab of the gycerin-enriched instantly relieves and protects seriously or chapped hands. I through this product was definitely worth the try if only a ‘dab’ would be needed as the 50ml tube would go a long way.
As soon as i got out of Tesco i straight away tried the product and in my eyes it lives up to all claims. A very small amount of product is needed to be rubbed in to last a couple of hours. Product stays on hands and soaks in making them noticeably smoother and softer. All in all this product is a win and will be staying in my handbag permanently.

I have decided to delete my two previous post’ i had on here as i wanted to start fresh. As from tomorrow i hope to update this daily! Big aim but i don't see why it cant be done?
