Hot Shots Review!

You might of previously seen a haul featuring these about a month a go i believe and i have only just got round to using them! My hair was feeling like straw the other night so when i had a bath a wacked one of these beautys on my hair!

Lee Stafford says Hot Shots 2 Minute Miracle Repair Kit is a self-heating conditioning treatment with Pro-Repair™ which gets to the root of the problem by targeting dry and damaged hair to leave it healthy and beautifully conditioned. This intensive treatment is designed especially for damaged hair, with the Pro-Repair™ complex of Soy, Amino Acids and a Replenishing active, strengthening, replenishing and restoring the integrity of the cuticle and optimising the moisture balance. Containing warming vanilla this shot stimulates and increases circulation due to its spicy ingredients.

What i think of the product? I actually really enjoyed using this product and love the way it works. I think its very interesting that after applying the product all over your hair it starts to heat up, It doesn't get too hot but you can feel the warmth! I was very intrigued. It completely took away the feel of my straw  like hair leaving it completely soft. The one thing i absolutely hate about this product is the way it comes in a weird tubed shaped package. I know Lee Stafford loves his packaging but i'm sure they could of thought of something better. Trying to get the product out of these tubes with wet hands is an utter nightmare! It was just impossible as the plastic is thick therefore its not so easy to squeeze out. Lots of product was left in the tube which was such a waste. The product is priced at £7.19 which is quite high end for a conditioning treatment but on the packaging i will not be buying again!

Max Factor Ageless Elixir 2in1 Foundation + Serum

The other morning i received a lovely parcel from the people at savvy circle and it was the Max Factor Ageless Elixir 2in1 Foundation + Serum. It came packaged very nicely with lots of goodies inside. I have the opportunity to review the foundation, hand out samples to friend and family and to give money off vouchers.

A bit about the foundation: The new Max Factor Ageless Elixir 2in1 Foundation + Serum combines make-up with skincare; a blend of foundation  with unique serum with SPF 15. It delivers instant cosmetic and skincare benefits. The intelligent foundation instantly reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. The unique serum with SPF 15 simultaneously helps protect against signs of ageing such as age spots and uneven skin tone. This foundation is a part of Max Factor’s “Elixir” range. The 2in1 foundation + serum is joined by the brand’s new Colour “Elixir” Lipstick that moisturises and conditions your lips. The Max Factor Ageless Elixir 2in1 Foundation + Serum is available in the UK September 2011 with a recommended retail price of £12.99.

What I think of the foundation? Overall i think the packaging for this product is good, not over the top and not too much. I am very thankful this foundation has a pump as i know so many people hate foundations that don’t have a pump. I love the fact it gives you a ‘cut out’ bit so you can see the shade of the foundation you’ve got, i opted for warm almond. It also has Anti-Oxidant Packaging comprising Vitamin E, Allantoin, Panthenol, Green Tea which protect the skin against free radicals. However my first impressions of the foundation colour weren't so good. I was disappointed at how ‘orange’ toned the warm almond shade is when rubbing it in, once blended in its not so orange but me knowing how orange it looked doesn’t give me the biggest confidence boost so i tried a sample in the shade natural so you can see the difference. Again my first thoughts were this is so orange, you wouldn't catch me wearing this out. But after a while of blending it on my hand it became less orange but if you don’t blend it correctly say hello to the umpa lumpa! On the other hand i do love the fact that its a 2in1 with a serum in! It does make the skin feel soft and natural as it contains Glycerine, Niacinnamide, N-acetyl Glucosamine which are known skin conditioning ingredients! And then the fact it has SPF 15 on top of all that is a bonus.

Overall i am happy with how the foundation turned out but unfortunately i don’t think its for me. As i think this foundation is targeted at middle-aged women and older i think i should be using this in 15+ years time.

MySoap!

On Wednesday i received a lovely package from MySoap containing two lovely bars of there top selling soap which were Fresh Rose Butter Soap and Elderflower Grapefruit and Apricot.

MySoap are Luxury Organic Soaps made entirely by hand using the finest natural ingredients sourced from all over the world. We use traditional soap making methods which retain all of the natural skin conditioning glycerine normally removed from mass manufactured soaps. We use natural plant oils, extracts. botanicals, essential oils and each recipe is generously formulated to be rich, mild on your skin and long lasting. We use Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Soybean Oil, Hemp Oil, Sunflower Oil, Corn Oil and generous helpings of creamy Cocoa and Shea Butters. All of the wonderful scents from our soaps are provided by the additions of essential oils. We do not use synthetic fragrances, detergents or commercially manufactured soap bases and of course, we do not test our soaps on animals, they've got enough trouble to be dealing with as it is! I love these bars of soap and i’m so glad i got the opportunity to try them! They are heavily sentenced and the scent transfers and lasts on your skin. They are not overpowering they are just right. Not only do they smell good they look gorgeous as well. Mysoap has many benefits, the products are organic, they do not test there products on animals – and for me that's something which is so important, and they are also suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The came beautifully packages, and you can tell they were sent with care. I honestly can’t find anything back to say about these soaps! I will definitely be buying some they are just great.





Elderflower, Grapefruit and Apricot - A delicate tonic bar made with an infusion of creamy Elderflowers, essential oils of Pink Grapefruit, Tangerine and nourishing Apricot. A tad of Patchouli Oil makes this bar one of our favourites.


Fresh Rose Butter Soap - A gorgeous Rose bud studded soap bar with a superbly rich and creamy recipe containing dollops of moisturising Cocoa Butter and regenerating Shea Butter. Perfumed with a heady flowery blend of Rose Geranium, Petitgrain and sexy Ylang Ylang essential oils and speckled with Ground Rosehips to exfoliate your skin.

NAKED!

Yesterday i got a parcel and it was a parcel i had been waiting for a whole week! Not long i know but when your looking forward to it the week drags on! So what was the parcel? Its was my Urban Decay Naked Palette!! It lived up to my expectations! Im actually in love with it, i love all the natural colours they’re colour i would wear on a daily basis.

What Urban Decay say about the product.. You can look great NAKED! This long, lean, seductive case is packed with TWELVE gorgeous neutrals. Shades range from delicate champagnes to dark, gritty gunmetal, and feature FIVE NEW shades with names like Darkhorse, Virgin and Buck. We've also included a range of textures: everything from glitter to shimmer to matte. The chocolaty velvet case is emblazoned with the word "NAKED" in gold foil lettering. The mirrored case also includes a professional quality, cruelty-free Good Karma Eyeshadow Brush, AND a travel-size Eye Shadow Primer Potion in original formula. Experiment with office-appropriate neutrals, summertime bronzy looks, or sultry smokiness. With such a diversity of neutral shades at your fingertips, there's more to neutral than meets the eye.

I think the product is exceedingly good value for money as i looked into it before i bought it. Each eye shadow is 1.3g when a single eye Shadow from Urban Decay is 1.5g and is priced around £13. So in this palette you get 12x 1.3g worth of eye Shadow which is exceptionally good. They are very pigmented and last hours on the lid especially when used with the Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion, you get a travel size sample of this in the kit which is a nice little bonus. Some people may see this as a downside that Urban Decay have only put three matte shades in this but personally i don’t! This palette also contains the ‘professional quality, cruelty-free good karma eye shadow brush.

Youthful Radiance!

For a while i have been ‘eyeing’ up- my mums Garnier Caffeine Anti-Dark Circles 2-in-1 Tinted Eye Roll-On (what a mouthful!) and the other day i decided to try it and i honestly can’t believe i haven’t had my hands on this before! This product is amazzzing! This product comes in 4 different shades; Very fair, fair, medium and dark so I'm sure there is a shade to suit everyone's skin tone. This product sells for £10.20 at boots but is currently on offer for 2 for £12 on selected Garnier youthful radiance. Although i found this product for £7 at Asda so i suggest shopping around to find out the cheapest place to get it at!

Garnier claims the 2-in-1 formula is a moisturising eye cream & a cooling roller ball which refreshes and hydrates tired-looking eyes with mineral enriched pigments it instantly covers dark circles

Why i love it? I love this product because it makes my eyes completely flawless! After applying my foundation i apply the product and then blend it in with my fingers . I don’t have bad dark circles but i like how it gives the eyes a tidy look and completely blends in with my foundation. Its a complete must have Product. I really do recommend this product even after one use.

So today i went on a hunt to buy one and i noticed one on a market i went to for £5! Your all going to say i bet that's been used before blah but lots of stalls were selling them for £5 and i did double check the roll-on ball was concealer free, either way im happy with my bargain.

Baked-to-last

Today i have a little review for you of The Body Shops Baked To Last Blush. I love this blush, it sells for a resonable price of just £12 which i think is a very good price for the body shop. Baked products have seemed to be more popular over the last year and The Body Shop have introduced three products in there Baked-To-Last range. They include blush, bronzer and eye colour.

On to the blush and what The Body Shop say about it. ‘A blusher and a highlighter in a duo palette. Handmade and slow-baked on a terracotta disc, it gives up to eight hours of colour’

And what i think about it? I love this product! I love the fact its a 2-in-one product for the price of £12 i think that's just amazing from the body shop. Its a lovely colour, lasts a long time on the cheeks. The highlighter is brilliant for just under the brow aswell as mixed in with the blusher for the apples of my cheeks. This product does live up to standards and lasts longer than eight hours on my skin. I got this in shade 01 Petal which i think is just lovely, just enough pink to give my face a glow.
